Brenda “Brenda Zimmerman” Sue Ellis

Brenda Sue ( Zimmerman ) Ellis, 51, of Oroville, Wash. died Sept. 29, 2013 at her home in Oroville. She was born in Tonasket, Wash., Sept. 6, 1962 to Stanley and Wanda (Clines) Zimmerman.
Brenda graduated from Oroville High School and then went on to the Wenatchee Valley College in their Nursing Program.
She lived her entire life in the Oroville area where she served a lot of people as a waitress in different restaurants for 35 years.
Brenda was well known for her years as the “Oyster Lady .” She was known to give a local charitable events/auctions. Brenda enjoyed gardening, Yahtzee, bingo and occasional slots. She was well known for her positive attitude and smiling face and was a wonderful waitress for many years.
She was a very loving mother and she loved her grandbaby, Ava Marie, unconditionally. She would always help her family in times of need without expecting anything in return. She had a heart of gold. Brenda loved going to the lake with the family and her and Bob’s dog, Molly. She married Bob and it was one of the happiest days of her life. It was not uncommon for her to talk about what a wonderful man he is, and how lucky she was to have him as a husband. She loved, birdhouses, craft projects, flowers, picking asparagus, taking vacations with her husband.
Brenda also was known for her Mayday Parade contributions for YoYo’s, for being a great cook, and great friend.
She was a member of the Oroville Eagles Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary
Brenda is survived by her husband, Robert Ellis; daughter, Misty Hand and Kelsey Hand; stepdaughter, Brandy Ellis; granddaughter, Ava Markham; father, Stan Zimmerman; sisters, Peggy (Chris) Humphries, Donna Bloxom, Sandra Donato, and Sherry (Barry) Kellogg; and brother, Wayne Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Knudson, in 1997.
A memorial service to follow at a later date. Place of burial will be at the Oroville Cemetery.
