Karl Arthur Plymale, Omak, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday Feb. 3, 2014.
Karl was born to Henry and Rita Melcher on May 25, 1942 in Marlin, Wash. His father died when Karl was 6 years old. His mother later married Gerald Plymale, who adopted Karl as his son.
Karl graduated from Borah High School in Boise, Idaho and from Boise State College as a Civil Engineer. He marred Joyce Carpenter Rains in June 1973.
He leaves his wife, Joyce, of Omak; step-daughter Carolyn Walter of Kirkland, Wash; step-sons Todd Rains of Moses Lake, Wash, and Jeffery Rains, Boise, Idaho; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 8 in the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel. Burial was at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens following the service.
Donations may be given in Karl’s name to the American Cancer Society.
Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel and the Okanogan County Crematory of Okanogan cared for the arrangements.
