Adeline D. Hawkins was born on July 20, 1929, in Tuttle, N.D., to Tolles and Anna Hanson. On Dec. 11, 2013, our Heavenly Father took Adeline home to be with him. Oh, glorious day.
Adeline left behind her husband of 63 years, Henry Hawkins; her brother, Tilford Hansen of Okanogan, Wash.; her children, Jim (Dianna) Hawkins of Queensland, Australia, Rhonda Christmann of Okanogan, Terry (Lynne) Hawkins of Meridian, Idaho, Rick (Kathy) Hawkins of Spring Creek, Nev., and adopted son, Gary Hawkins of Wenatchee, Wash. There are 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren to carry on Adeline’s legacy, and one great-grandchild in heaven to welcome his grandmother home.
Adeline loved her family, friends, flowers, the outdoors and baking and cooking for others. Adeline’s love for children made her a fantastic foster mother for over 15 years. Adeline was loved by all who knew her.
Please join us in the celebration of Adeline’s life at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at New Life Centre, 508 4th Ave. S., Okanogan, Wash.
