Thomas Ross Lommasson was born to Allen and Pauline Lommasson in Kennewick, Wash., on Jan. 26, 1954, and passed from this life Jan. 24, 2014, in Wenatchee, Wash., from extensive health problems.
Tom enjoyed life and made it interesting by getting involved. He served several years in the U.S. Navy after attending high school in Walla Walla, Wash. After his tour in the Navy, where he learned to cook, he worked in the food-service industry, construction, and fishing in Alaska. He loved to fish and spend time with his children. He didn’t enjoy eating fish, but got a lot of pleasure out of cooking them for family.
He married the love of his life, Penny Kelley, in Okanogan, Wash., on March 29, 1996. They have three children, a daughter, Breanna; and two sons, Delbert and Tomas Jr.
After having worked in several locations in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, he had an early retirement due to failing health. The last several years of his life were spent in Okanogan with his wife and son Tom Jr.
Tom loved all of the children and did what he could for them. Tom and his family were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which sustained them by their faith in God and Jesus Christ.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Pauline Lommasson; brother, Robert Lommasson; and sister, Patricia Driftmeyer. He is survived by his wife, Penny; his children; two brothers; a sister; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
A graveside service in Walla Walla will be in July 2014.
