Thelma Louise Truitt, 92, passed away in Omak, Wash., Aug. 13, 2018, at Regency of Omak. Thelma was the third of 20 children born to Harold and Addie Staggs in Chelan, Wash. Thelma was married to John Truitt for 62 years and resided in Omak where they raised their eight children.
Thelma worked at Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak, for 30 plus years. She was a nurse’s aide and worked in the nursery assisting with births, teaching new moms how to bathe and feed their little bundles of joy.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband; John Truitt; sons, John and Donald Truitt; two daughters, Diana Armstrong, and Janice Evarts; and son-in-law, Allen Rose.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Rose and Cathy (Mike) Anderson; sons, Jim (Sheila)Truitt and Doug (Annetta) Truitt; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be from 1 -4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at the Okanogan Grange Hall located in at 305 Tyee St. Okanogan, WA.
