Glaphy “Ann” Spear of Loomis, Wash., passed away Jan. 26, 2018. Ann was the youngest of five children born July 13, 1931, to Dwayne and Anna Jackson of Ft. Morgan, Colo. On June 15, 1952, Ann married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Gene Spear. They started first grade in Ft. Morgan together, dated in high school and walked down the aisle three times together - at their high school baccalaureate, graduation and their wedding. From this union four children were born, Dawn (Gary) Steuck, of Rich Hill, Mo.; Dianne (Chris) Pollock, of Berthoud, Colo.; Allyson (John) DeVincentis, of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; Barton (Roxanne) Spear, of Loomis; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
From Ft. Morgan they moved to Glenwood Springs, Colo. where they ranched on Four Mile Creek for 34 years. In 1993, they moved their ranching operation to Loomis where they ranched with their son.
Ann loved working in her yard and tending to her flower beds, decorating their home and most of all loved her family dearly.
