Dale Frederick Payne
Dale Frederick Payne, 78, passed away Oct. 25, 2018. He was the husband of Judy (Penwell) Payne. They shared 49 wonderful years of marriage together.
Born in Omak, Wash., Dale was the son of Earl and Alberdean Payne. In 1958, Dale graduated from Omak High School. In 1972, he received his business degree from Eastern Washington University. He worked in administration at Mid-Valley Hospital for 33 years and retired in 2005.
Dale was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Omak, an active member of the Boy Scouts, and a member of the NRA. He will be remembered for perfection, perseverance, humor, and mischief. Dale was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to spend time with family and friends at Crawfish Lake. He enjoyed many years of competing in the Boy Scouts pinewood derby as a scout, as a dad, and as a grandpa. Dale enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening, maintaining the yard, and collecting antiques of all kinds.
Dale is survived by his spouse, Judy; son, Hank (Tonni), grandsons Kyle and Ryan; son, Aaron (Elena), grandson, Marlin; his sister, Deanne Brathen; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Payne; and mother, Alberdean Payne.
The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Community Presbyterian Church in Omak. The interment will be held at the Omak Memorial Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, Nov. 2, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
