Colay Marie Shelhamer was born Aug. 30, 1961, and passed away Aug. 30, 2018. Which is pretty ironic because she didn’t celebrate birthdays any ways.
She was born in Missoula, Mont., to Sandra Burton and Michael Shelhamer. Colay left behind thee sons and one daughter. Tracy, Cole, Clell, and Eva.
She was a proud grandmother to Jimbo, Jamie, Kyle, Anthony, Autumn, Crisha, Kingston, Liam, Emma, Scarlet, Trentan, Tucker, and Rylinn. She was an amazing grandmother.
She spent most her last months playing with her granddaughter, Scarlet, in her little farm house. She loved with all her heart. She was nice if she liked you, and mean if she didn’t. Colay was as honest as it gets. She was a proud member of the Oroville Garden Club and a Red Hatter Lady. She enjoyed gardening and all animals.
Colay was a farmer through and through. She was tough but gentle. And one of the humble people you could ever meet.
She found humor where most would never look. She had a “funny of the day.”
She was loved so much and will be missed by many.
She will be cremated, and we will be posting a get together at a later date. Probably in spring when the waterfalls are running to spread her ashes.
