Last week President Obama ordered the U.S. flag flown at half staff in honor of Nelson Mandela, South Africa's first black president and apartheid activist who died Dec. 5. Do you think the flag should be lowered in honor of foreign dignitaries?
Absolutley, especially when they are as prominent as Nelson Mandela.
That honor should only be reserved for only the top elected U.S. officials.
Only U.S. military personnel killed in action deserve that kind of tribute.
Top U.S. elected officials and military personnel killed in action only should be honored.
We should lower our flags for other countries' officials when they do the same for ours.
Makes no difference to me.
