Church sponsors free sports camp
A mini sports camp to introduce skills and fundamentals for soccer and basketball is planned for June 25-29 at East Side Park, Omak.
The camp, which will teach through drills, games and fun activities, starts at 2 p.m. each day at the far end of the park near the soccer field.
The camp, which is free, is for those in grades kindergarten through third grade.
There will be a strong focus on fair play and sportsmanship, say organizers.
All those attending are reminded to wear athletic shoes. No open-toed shoes will be allowed, organizers said.
The camp is a ministry of new Fellowship Baptist Church of Riverside.
More information is available from the Rev. Rick McLaughlin, 826-1269.
