Box of trophies goes to Whitney at Eagle Track awards banquet

Chronicle correspondent

     Brian Whitney took home a box full of trophies, including driver of the year and favorite street stock racer and street stock champion, after the Eagle Track Raceway season awards ceremony Nov. 17.
     Ron Rampley was chosen favorite modified driver and won the modified class season points championship.
     John Alexander Jr. was named rookie of the year, favorite bump-to-pass driver and division points champion.
     Randy Hotchkiss snagged the best looking street stock title and shared the overall best looking car honor with Randy Sattler.
     Sattler also took awards for sportsmanship and for best looking modified car.
     Bill Hallam won most improved honors and a prize for best looking bump-to-pass car.
     Darrin Metcalf took the most competitive title and Glen Corfe the most bad luck award.
     Dave Hannah was named favorite mechanic driver and Steve Hood was voted to have the best looking fever four racer.
     Racing divisions will change when racing resumes in 2008.
