Tonasket soccer lands three on all-league first team
     Tonasket’s first year of playing soccer proved fruitful with three players earning all-league first-team honors in recent voting.
     Making first team were Sean Timmerman (senior, midfielder), Santos Alvarez (junior, forward) and Rafael Padilla (senior, goalie).
     The Tigers also received the team sportsmanship award.
     Brewster’s Jose Cruz Najera, a junior midfielder, was named player of the year.
     Brewster’s Ernesto Santos was voted coach of the year.
     Also on the first team were Jose Tinoco (junior, defense), Alex Villalobos (senior, defense), Jesse Villalobos (junior, midfielder) and Josue Hernandez (junior, forward) for Brewster; Lucas McComas (senior, defense) and Jose Avila (junior, forward) for Cascade; and Jose Garcia (junior, midfielder) for Chelan.
     Those on the second team included Matt Kraske (senior, defense) and Christian Behymer (sophomore, midfielder) for Omak; Geovani Rodriguez (senior, midfielder) for Okanogan; Josue Sanchez (senior, midfielder) for Tonasket; Ricardo Flores (senior, defense), Andy Ledezma (senior, defense), Abraham Tobon (junior, midfielder) and Ricardo Guzman (senior, forward) for Cascade; Marco Korea (junior, forward) for Brewster; and Nick Diaz (senior, forward) and Daniel Galvan (sophomore, goalie) for Chelan.
     Honorable mention went to Daniel Nash (sophomore, defense) and Adam Hein (sophomore, midfielder) for Omak; Ethan Colbert (defender) and J.J. Ramirez (forward), Okanogan; David Sanchez (junior, defense) and Osvaldo Padilla (senior, forward) for Tonasket; Jose Velasco (senior, forward), Franco Martinez (junior, forward), and Gerardo Sanchez (freshman, goalie) for Brewster; Jose Velera (junior, defense), Jessy Juarez (senior, midfielder) and Jamie Guerrero (junior, midfielder) for Chelan.
