Tonasket’s Terrill takes district high jump title
     Hayden Terrill took the title in the high jump with a leap of 5-10 to lead the Tonasket boys’ track team to a sixth place finish, while the girls took eighth at the District 6 1A championships May 9 at Tonasket.
     Terrill also finished third in the 110 high hurdles (16.88 seconds) and pole vault (11.25) and fourth in the triple jump (39-9.5).
     Jessica Spear’s second place finish in the 800 meters (2:33.89) was tops for the Tonasket girls.
     Deborah Rillera also finished well, taking fourth in the pole vault (8-0) and sixth in the high jump (4-4.25).
     At the Caribou Trail League championships May 2, Terrill took third in the 110 high hurdles (17.37) and pole vault (11-6). He also took fifth in the high jump (5-4).
     Spear again led the girls, taking second in the 800 (2:31.87).
