Thornton fires golfs top honors at Chelan

     Oroville’s Dory Thornton earned medalist honors while Ashley Oakes took third place at the North Central Washington 2B/1B League Championships May 6 at the Lake Chelan Golf Course.
     Tim Porter and Jesse Smith did well for the boys.
     The Hornets competed in the District 6 Tournament May 12 at Alta Lake Golf Course in Pateros.
     The 2B state tournament will be held May 20-21 at Lake Padden Golf Course in Bellingham.
