Run the Sun to shine in Methow July 12
     Run the Sun, the Methow Valley’s fourth trail run in a series of five, is planned for Saturday, July 12, on the stunning and challenging Sun Mountain trails just outside of Winthrop, according to an announcement from Methow Valley Sport Trails Association.
     The five- and 10-mile races start at 8 a.m., reports Julie Muyllaert, events director.
     Racers will experience trailside views of Patterson Lake and breathtaking vistas of the lower Methow Valley, she said.
     Registration and bib pickup will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the MVSTA office in Winthrop or 6:30-7:45 a.m. day of race at the Chickadee Day Lodge at Sun Mountain.
     Early registration - good through Thursday, July 3, - is $20 for adults and $10 for youth for the five-mile race and $25 for adults and $15 for youth for the 10-mile race.
     Late registration, starting July 4, is $10 more per person.
     Each participant will receive a T-shirt. There will be a drawing for Montrail running shoes.
