OMAK – Homecoming activities are underway this week at Omak High School.
The theme is Hasbro board games, with the freshmen getting Life, sophomores Clue, juniors Candyland and seniors Monopoly.
Each day will have a dress-up theme. Monday was class colors.
Today, Oct. 16, is team up day (sports teams).
Tomorrow is Board Walk, with students dressing up as a board game. Thursday is Day in the Life, with freshmen as babies, sophomores as college students, juniors in business attire and seniors in togas. Friday is Extreme Red and Black Day.
Members of the royal court were chosen at random and include Garret Taylor, freshman prince; Kirja Hobbs, freshman princess; Alex Olsen, sophomore prince; Mayra Silva, sophomore princess; Caleb Richter, junior prince; Kassidy Carlton, junior princess; Dillion Anderson, senior prince; Riata Marchant, senior princess; Skyler Christie, senior king, and Eve Keith, senior queen.
Community royalty are Jan and Lance Hope.
The ongoing associated student body service project is Hurricane Help, which will include several fundraisers during the school year.
Macho man volley is ongoing through Thursday during lunch.
A parade is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, running from the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship church, 328 Riverside Drive, to the high school, 20 S. Cedar St. A pep rally and dodge ball competition are planned.
Riverside Drive and Main Street will be closed during the parade. Detour routes are available on city streets.
Friday brings a homecoming assembly and lip synch competition at 2 p.m. in the school gym.
The homecoming football game, against Chelan, will be at 7 p.m. on the football field. Admission will be charged.
A homecoming dance caps the week from 8-11:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school commons. Admission will be charged.
Students whose dates are not Omak High School students need to pre-register their dates ahead of time.
