Dawg Stars offer dinner theater

OKANOGAN – Okanogan High School Dawg Stars drama club will present “Somewhere Else Dreams,” a dinner theater production, Jan. 23-24 and Jan. 26.

Curtain time is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday in the school cafetorium, 244 S. Fifth Ave.

Admission will be charged; organizers encourage people to pre-purchase tickets by 1 p.m. the day of each show. Dinner-and-show or show-only options are available.

The menu for Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday evening performances is hamburger or hot dog, French fries, chili, salad, water and pie. The Saturday matinee menu is pancakes and pie.

“Somewhere Else Dreams” is about a small-town girl who thinks the big city is where she will find her dreams. The story takes place in a small diner in Texas, with a cast of colorful characters, said director Trisha Roach.

“It’s a comedy with a serious message,” she said.
