Rotary fundraiser carries Roaring ‘20s theme

OKANOGAN – A Roaring ‘20s theme is planned for Saturday’s annual Okanogan-Omak Rotary Club wine and cheese tasting event, but there won’t be any speakeasy passwords required.

The 20th annual event runs from 6-10 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Okanogan County Fairgrounds Agriplex, 175 Rodeo Trail. Admission will be charged.

Awards will be given to the best-dressed man and woman at the event.

The event includes dinner, silent and live auctions, raffles and tastings of wine, spirits, beers and cheeses.

Among the auction items are a spa visit, motel and golf package, hand-painted Santa on driftwood, a purse full of cash, homemade Thai dinner for eight and a week-long stay at a resort in the Canadian Rockies.

Proceeds from the event support the club’s community projects.
