Winterfest offers fun for everyone

Winterfest activities will take place outside in Founders Day Park this year, as the Tonasket Visitor and Business Resource Center is currently housing the Tonasket Police Department.

TONASKET — Winterfest weekend kicks off this Friday evening, with The Company Band at the Kuhler, 302 N. Whitcomb Ave., playing at 9 p.m.

Cover charge is cash by donation or a toy for needy families in Tonasket.

Saturday events include the annual storefront decoration contest and holiday bazaars throughout town. The Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas bazaar is at OK Chevrolet Friday and Saturday. Additional Christmas Bazaars are at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Community Cultural Center.

Photos with Santa are available in Founders Day Park Saturday between 1 and 3 p.m. for $5.

A chili cookoff and hot chocolate will help keep bellies warm.

Winterfest activities will take place in the Founders Day Park next to the Tonasket Visitor and Business Resource Center.

There will be no indoor activities at the Tonasket Visitor and Business Resource Center this year, as it is currently occupied by the police department. Restrooms will be available.

The annual City of Tonasket Library Book Sale takes place in city hall from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

Parade line-up begins at 4:15 p.m. by the fire department, with the parade scheduled to travel through town at 5 p.m. Saturday evening.
