Guild honors World War II veteran Picard

BREWSTER — Columbia River Quilt Guild honored World War II veteran Howard Picard with a special quilt.

The guild, with members from all over the quad-city area, gives quilts to area veterans as a way of recognizing and giving back to service men and women for their unwavering service to America.

Picard, from Brewster, was honored Oct. 30.
