James W. Fox

OKANOGAN — A registered sex offender has moved to the 400 block of South Third Avenue.

In April 2001, James W. Fox pleaded guilty to first-degree child molestation. The incidents occurred over a five-year period with a juvenile female relative.

Fox was sentenced to 67-89 months in prison. He was under state Department of Corrections supervision for 36 months and was released from prison in 2007.

Fox was charged in November 2000 with first-degree rape of a child, first-degree child molestation and first-degree child molestation of a second victim.

In 1988, he was convicted in Kootenai County, Idaho, of lewd conduct with a minor. He was also arrested in 1963 for lewd and lascivious conduct with a child in the same county.

Fox has notified the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office of his relocation.
