OSOYOOS, B.C. — After more than three years, an Alberta man is scheduled to appear in court in connection with an 18-year olds death on Lake Osoyoos.

Ryan Symington is facing possible charges of impaired driving (causing death), dangerous driving (causing death), failure to stop at an accident (causing bodily harm), care of control of vehicle/vessel with over .08 (blood-alcohol level) and attempt to prevent/defeat obstruct justice.

Symington allegedly struck with his boat and killed Marco Corbin, 18, of Mission, B.C., while the teen was tubing on Lake Osoyoos.

Symington’s lawyer initially indicated he would like to have a preliminary hearing, next year, but court records show he will appear Sept. 10 to see if an earlier date can be arranged.
