Development prioritization workshop planned

OMAK — The Economic Alliance’s infrastructure committee plans an Okanogan County economic and community development prioritization workshop July 26.

The meeting runs from 9-11 a.m. at Omak City Hall, 2 N. Ash St. It is aimed at municipalities, community-based organizations or other groups working on community and economic development projects.

Groups will learn about the funding prioritization process, including criteria and how projects will be ranked.

Applications will be available after the workshop on the Economic Alliance website, www.economic-alliance.com, or from the agency’s office, 509-826-5107. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Aug. 30.

The Economic Alliance coordinates the workshop, application and review process, and provides the Okanogan County commissioners with a prioritized list of economic and community development projects. Commissioners will send the list to the North Central Washington Economic Development District for regional prioritization.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to 509-826-5107.
