Chronicle hires Hedington

Hedington, Amber

OMAK – The Omak-Okanogan County Chronicle has hired Amber Hedington as its new south Okanogan County reporter.

Hedington gained newspaper experience when she attended Okanogan High School and served on the yearbook committee. She wrote for the school district’s newsletter, the Bulldog Bark.

She enjoys poetry and classic novels. Hedington’s coverage area will be south Okanogan County, including Brewster, Bridgeport, Pateros and the Methow Valley.

“It is my dream job to work for the local paper because it has a lot of great small businesses and I’m close to friends and family,” Hedington said.

“Amber’s enthusiasm for writing and strong community ties in the Okanogan Valley make her a wonderful addition to The Chronicle,” Chronicle Publisher Teresa Myers said. “We look forward to watching her grow as she reports on south county activities.

She can be reached at ahedington@omakchronicle.com or 509-826-1110, ext. 103.
