COULEE CITY – A Grand Coulee woman died Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18, when she was thrown from her car on Highway 155 near Steamboat Rock.

Tavian R. Beasley, 27, was southbound at 1:09 p.m. when her SUV went off the road’s right side onto the shoulder. She overcorrected, crossed the road to the northbound shoulder and overcorrected again, causing the vehicle to overturn, said the Washington State Patrol.

Beasley, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing the road.

She was taken to Coulee Medical Center, Grand Coulee, where she died.

The vehicle was damaged and towed from the scene by Jeff’s Towing.
