Pateros PPE

Pateros School District plans to outfit its youngest students with face shields mounted to a hat, similar to the one pictured, when classes resume this fall. The state Department of Health is requiring students to wear a mask or face shield for the opening of school. Pateros officials said they anticipate issues with its youngest students’ ability to wear masks, so it will provide the hat-based personal protective equipment to youngsters in transitional kindergarten through second grade.
