Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Don Duncan away Friday, May 5, 2023. Don was a Vietnam Veteran who served with the 497th Combat Engineers in 1969. He was a musician, a writer, and an accomplished artist. He loved his family, his fur babies, and caring for nature’s beauty that surrounded their home in Dyer, Ark.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth; a brother, Larry and wife Martha; sons, Jonathan and wife Becki of Washington State, and Eric and his partner Brenda Schneider of Fort Smith; and grandchildren, Bailley, Ohara, Jessica, Canton, and Andrew.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Don has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org, or a local no-kill animal shelter of your choice. Please be as generous as possible with your donations and don’t con me Biff, I’ll be watching you.
