Janet Hulsing

May 18, 1959 - April 11, 2021

I have had the satisfaction of seeing my children, Jesse and Ky, grow into happy adults with loving partners and children of their own. This is my crowning achievement and the one that lives on. I’m sad that I will not see my grandchildren grow up. This is the hardest thing. Know my dears, I am always there with you.

My husband and partner is Tim and we have been married 40 years. As with all long relationships, we have had our ups and downs. Our love and devotion had persevered. We had a life of adventure and exploration, as well as building two homes together. I will forever treasure these times.

My friends have been many. I have tried to keep an open and inclusive mind to all. I thank them for all the love and memories.

In the beginning were my parents and brother. I thank you for giving me a good foundation and supporting it through my life.

The animals in my life have contributed so much to my life. What a gift!

The arts, always a part of my life. From the time I could pick up a pencil I have been driven to create. Music has been my balm and salvation my whole life.

So I have looked at these blessings and I am filled with gratitude and love. What else can one wish for?

My friend left this life peacefully surrounded by her family and friends after a five-year battle with ROS1+ lung cancer.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Terrebonne, Ore.
