Karen Michelle Radke, 70, passed away surrounded by family on Oct. 1, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, Wash. Karen was born April 9, 1950, in Spokane and grew up in Wenatchee, Wash. Karen graduated from Wenatchee High School then completed her education with a degree in education from Central Washington University. Karen was a dedicated teacher working at East Elementary School, Omak School District, for over 30 years. After retiring, her love of children’s education compelled her to continue as a substitute teacher in Okanogan and Omak. Outside of the classroom, Karen loved spending time with her family going on trips (especially to the beach) and sharing love and laughter within her home. She adored her grandchildren and followed them to all their sporting events. She also loved reading books, solving puzzles, and watching HGTV and Hallmark movies. Karen had a kind and giving heart. She touched many lives with her generosity and kindness.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dean, of Okanogan; son, Darin and wife Erin, of Okanogan; daughter, Jessica and husband Quinton, of Wenatchee; and two grandchildren, Jenna and Jaden Radke. She is also survived by her four sisters, and one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.
