COLVILLE – Omak edged Colville, 47-45, in a non-league girls’ basketball game Saturday.

The Pioneers, led by the 19 points of Centaya Mendoza, led 24-14 at the half and 39-30 after three quarters.

Colville outscored Omak, 15-8, in the fourth to make the game close.

Payton Abrahamson added 11 points for Omak, which improved to 4-1.

CURLEW – Curlew won its league opener, 47-36, over Selkirk on Saturday.

The Cougars led 24-18 at the half and won the second half 23-18.

Korin Baker finished with 26 points.

Bridgeport 42, Manson 30

MANSON – Bridgeport used a strong second half to dispatch Manson, 42-30, in a league game Friday.

“Fillies played great second half (defense), with a solid transition offense that was too much for Manson,” Bridgeport coach Stuart Dezellem said. “Field goal percentage needs to increase moving forward. We are getting great looks, just not finishing.”

Bridgeport led 19-15 at the half before outscoring Manson, 23-15, in the second half.

The Fillies finished with 22 steals.

Monica Trejo and Karla Torres each scored 10 points for Bridgeport.

Sammy Curtis added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Mountain Lions, now at 2-2 overall.

Inchelium 51, Northport 35

NORTHPORT – Inchelium broke open a tied game at the half to top Northport, 51-35, on Friday.

The game was knotted at 21-all before the Hornets (2-1) won the second half, 30-14.

Inchelium’s Rylee Desautel finished with 22 points.

Selkirk 67, Republic 27

The Tigers, which trailed 37-14 at the half, were paced by Lindsay Leonard with 10 points.

Pateros 56, Wilbur-Creston 23

PATEROS – Aleeka Miller-Smith led all scorers with 24 points in leading Pateros past Wilbur-Creston, 56-23, on Dec. 4.

“The Pateros girls played well both offensively and defensively,” said coach John Slater.

Also for the Nannies were Anna Williams with 10 points and Vanessa Ceniceros with seven points.

Brewster 52, Tonasket 28

TONASKET – Brewster knocked off Tonasket, 52-28, in a league game Dec. 4.
